Wallace Family Fundraiser a local success
The Temora community has raised $22,500 for eight month old Patrick Wallace who underwent surgery
Local Temora infant, Patrick Wallace recently underwent surgery to remove a brain tumour which left him completely blind.
Croplands donated $1000 towards the Family Funday fundraising event for Patrick, which saw around 200 people supporting the family by their attendance. The afternoon event was held at the Temora Golf Club, with BBQ, fun games and prizes for the kids, as well as a silent auction.
The Wallace family own a Croplands Pegasus trailed sprayer and are customers of local Croplands dealership – Temora Truck & Tractor, who also sponsored the event by matching Croplands donation.
Patrick has received the best treatment from the most respected doctors, however the family does not know what the future will hold for Patrick with further treatments possibly required after chemotherapy or the need for a guide dog or other visual aids. The Wallace family has decided that the money raised will go into a trust account for Patrick to give him opportunities in the future. They are also donating a percentage of the money raised to the Kids Cancer Centre at the Randwick Children’s Hospital on behalf of the Temora Community.
